Our identity is a key topic that remains at the forefront and was still discussed in detail during this week’s community call. As we progress, we must paint a clear and vibrant picture of who we want to be, so engage in the ongoing discussions in the Forum and stay tuned as we await further guidance from our Transition Council.
Value alignment is essential in any thriving community. As we progress through this revamp, we must ensure our values resonate internally and with the wider community. This issue, among others, will be central to this week’s editorial.

The Importance of Being in Value-aligned Communities

Since the development of human society began, being in groups or communities that know what they stand to achieve has always yielded benefits. This is because value-aligned groups are the entities responsible for great innovations.
In the last community call, members talked about their growth in different spaces while putting in the hard work and acknowledged that it all started from the now-former BanklessDAO. This just shows that a working community is a great asset to launching great minds. Many members appreciated the DAO for their growth and showed great interest in being here to continually try and build it in the right direction.
Value alignment is very important in a community as it draws people to put effort into the community. The DAO knows this and has been focusing its restructuring process to fit that purpose. We hope you stick with us and help us develop the community to its next phase.
Transition Council Nuggets
The Transition Council has been tirelessly working to bring the reorganization process of the DAO up to speed, and so far they have made significant changes and decisions. This week at the community call, their representatives informed us of how they have nominated a project manager, 0xZfi, to organize their activities as well as their decision to lengthen their tenure as transition council members.
Their reason for this extension stems from the fact that there is still much to be done. Some of these include:
Work on the purpose of the DAO
Branding of the DAO
Revision of the Constitution
Discussion regarding DAO token, voting rights, and membership structure.
If you're interested in joining the conversations, the Transition Council meets at 19:00 UTC every Friday in The Amphitheatre voice channel.
