Blur Launches NFT Lending Protocol
Blur, the leading NFT marketplace by trading volume, has launched a peer-to-peer lending platform called Blend. The platform will allow collectors to buy blue-chip NFTs with a smaller upfront payment, similar to a down payment on a house. The protocol connects lenders and borrowers and enables them to specify the terms such as the interest rate, and acceptable collateral. The loans offered through Blend are perpetual, have a fixed rate, and enable the borrower to pay the debt at any point.
The lending features initially support three NFT collections – CryptoPunks, Azuki, and Milady – but the Blend protocol allows for any asset to be collateralized.
With Blend, lenders can trigger a refinancing auction at any time. They would typically do so if an NFT’s price falls, increasing the risk of the loan becoming undercollateralized, or if they simply need the money back. Bankless HQ’s William Peaster has gone into Blend detail in this week’s Metaversal.
d’ART DROPS
Weekly art drops done in collaboration with up and coming NFT artists, for the Bankless community, presented by Decentralized Arts.
By nonsense
This is the third of four digital assets that serve as a reproduction of recently revealed lithographs from the mysterious—and some may call him infamous—Rugstradamus, produced and made available to the Bankless community in collaboration with The Rug. From The Rug:
In this third Lithograph by Rugstradamus he asks the infamous age old question while also pointing out that it is not in fact a question. This prescient pre-Shakespearean statement leaves no doubt as to what to do with your bags, anon.
This is available now, for the next seven days, via Rarible. Grab your edition today, before they drop off or sell out. 70% of each sale will go to The Rug and their contributors, 5% will go to the DA and bDAO collaboration with ThriveCoin, 10% will be returned to BanklessDAO, and 15% will be retained by Decentralized Arts.
As a special incentive with regard to this collaboration, collectors who mint all four lithographs will be able to exchange them for a Warhol-style Super NFT. Collect them all and don’t miss out on this feature!
