How To Participate in the DAO Re-org | BanklessDAO Weekly Rollup
Catch Up With What Happened This Week in BanklessDAO
Dear Bankless Nation 🏴,
We've been through so much together; charting the highs and lows. We've proven to be a moving train that cannot be stopped — learning new things and surpassing our limits. Season 11 is upon us and we have braced up for the ride.
Some projects are moving forward relentlessly and taking no prisoners! bCard is glad to announce that they are public in the US with plans to expand across other countries soon.
Crypto Sapiens is also cooking something amazing that will be hitting your screen soon. They have moved to Platform and are currently working on a game. Exciting right?? If you want to hop on the train and be a part of the community, you can join the Crypto Sapiens Discord and check them out on Farcaster.
In this week’s round table discussion, we talked about the DAO reorg and the different approaches we can take. It was an awesome time listening to different opinions on how we can move forward. Are we going to be a social club or kick-off new working groups? These are the questions we are trying to answer in order to take our next step forward.
If you have an opinion to propose, head on to Forum and make it known. And if you are a tlBANK holder, then you are in luck as you can create snapshots and get a movement going.

Proposals in Discussion
Notion Subscription Reimbursement For 2024
AboveAverageJoe has been paying for the notion subscription out of an account he owns since the DAO began using it. He has run a deficit for a while, and to keep the renewal from payment failure, he needs to reimburse the account. This proposal is to request from the treasury USDC equal to $1228.97 as soon as possible to both fund AAJ’s reimbursement and to fund the notion renewal as well.

Actionable items have now been set in place to guide the DAO reorganization. The community needs your contribution to enable it thrive. Well, you might say you do not know where to start or how to contribute, so this edition of our newsletter mentions some ways you can contribute during this important phase. Here are a few ways you can get involved and make a meaningful impact:
1. Read the Forums: BanklessDAO's communication forums and channels are ground zero for all restructuring discussions, proposals, and information sharing. Make a habit of consistently reading through the latest posts and updates to stay informed on the restructuring process every step of the way.
2. Ask Questions: Don't stay silent if something is unclear to you about the restructuring plans or decision-making processes. Asking questions promotes transparency and ensures everyone is on the same page with full context. Your question may also reveal a perspective others haven't considered.
3. Join Discussions and Voice Your Opinion: The strength of our community lies in the diversity of perspectives and ideas brought forward by its members. Be comfortable to respectfully share your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions in the ongoing discussions around restructuring. Your voice matters.
4. Weigh the Options: As proposals emerge, take the time to critically analyze and compare the potential impacts, trade-offs, and merits of each option on the table. This analytical scrutiny helps the DAO make the most well-rounded decisions.
5. Attend Governance Meetings: When it comes to crucial votes and governance decisions around restructuring, make your voice heard by attending meetings and participating in a quorum. These meetings are where community sentiment crystallizes into concrete actions.
6. Write Your Own Proposals: If you have a specific vision or plan for how restructuring should proceed, don't simply advocate for it — put it into a formal proposal for the community to consider. Structured proposals with clear rationale hold weight.
7. Join Working Groups: Once restructuring plans start taking shape, specialized working groups may spin up to focus on execution in key areas like product, operations, content, treasury etc. Joining these groups allows you to get hands-on with implementing the DAO's new direction.
8. Signal via Snapshot Voting: Non-binding opinion polls and signaling votes are often conducted via Snapshot to gauge community sentiment before binding governance votes. Participate in these to accurately represent the DAO's collective outlook.
9. Contribute: Look for opportunities to directly contribute your skills, time and effort to restructuring initiatives, even in small ways. Code updates, documentation, POAP creation, financial modeling — every bit of helpful contribution adds up exponentially for the community's benefit.
Even if you're not a core team member or whale stakeholder, your voice and participation hold real power and significance simply by virtue of being part of the DAO. Don't let that influence go untapped. By staying informed, engaged, and contributive throughout the restructuring process, you can help create the much-needed change. The restructuring is what you make of it so don't be a bystander to history. Dive in, roll up your sleeves, and help build the future of the DAO with your two hands.
