Global Education in Action | BanklessDAO Weekly Rollup
Catch Up With What Happened This Week in BanklessDAO
Dear Bankless Nation đ´,
Weâre starting this Rollup with praise for the efforts of all our exemplary contributors. We appreciate all the work you do and weâre glad youâre with us. Hearty congratulations must go also to our newest L2 members!
In other news, the Grants Committee has dropped a Grants Reform temp check that could affect the way your project, guild, or department is funded in future. Also on the Forum, check out the new temp check regarding a proposed Citizenship Upgrade which would restrict voting and roles to Level 1 âcitizensâ of BanklessDAO.
That doesnât preclude anyone from involvement in discussion and information sharing though! The roundtable discussions at the weekly Community Call go a long way in enhancing the DAO and fostering contributor awareness and involvement. Up next is a session on BDAO onboarding with Ornella. Reach out to anointingthompson1.eth on Discord to book your slot for a future roundtable.
Speaking of the Community Call, another Grants Committee temp check on the Forum proposes that to support awareness, all org units do an update on the Community Call once a month, as part of their seasonal responsibilities.
The Project Management (PM) Guild is currently seeking projects willing to test their market assessment tool, a vital aid in determining the potential value of your project. Contact the PM guild on Discord to get started.
We hope your weekend gets started with a flash of inspiration, a dose of relaxation, and a batch of wisdom, helped along by the wealth of content in this Weekly Rollup.

Proposals in Discussion
đ° Finders Fee Policies [Temp Check]
For BanklessDAO and its projects to keep growing and thriving, there is a need for ongoing funding. To encourage DAO members to bring in new funds, NF Thinker proposes offering a finder's fee as a reward for generating income through various channels. Here are the suggested rewards for each funding type:
Grants: 10%
Angel/VC/Venture Club: 5%
Crowdfunding: 5%
New Client/Sponsor: 10%
đŁ [TEMP CHECK] GC â Community Call Updates
The DAO is doing exciting things, but it's challenging to track activities across different units. To support awareness, the GC is proposing a new requirement for funding, that all org units do an update on the CC once a month as part of their seasonal responsibilities. Drop your thoughts about this in the Forum.
đ [TEMP CHECK] â BanklessDAO Citizenship Upgrade v1
The authors of this proposal believe that to address issues around BANK distribution, values alignment, and overall community health, itâs necessary to restructure the rights associated with DAO membership levels. Guest Pass holders could still renew indefinitely, while roles and voting rights would move to L1 members (citizens). This is a first step, with future revisions for L2, L3, and L4. What's your take on this? Hit the Forum with your thoughts.
Global Education in Action
Author: Hiro Kennelly
Itâs hard to believe weâre already settling into swing seasons around the world, times that prepare the ground for renewal đ and enable us to witness the birth of shoots and leaves đą. Being a global organization, we are fortunate to experience both miracles simultaneously.
Within the natural world, the rhythms of the seasons determine the timing of these leaves falling and flowers blooming. Outside of nature, however, aligning preparation and outcome requires effort, consistency, and above all, grit, the doggedness one needs to finish something hard.
One of our most committed contributors, Jengajojo, dropped a Forum post entitled Accruing Value Via RPGF3, a proposal that was later ratified on Snapshot. The TL;DR is that the proposal sought funding to organize on-ground activities to onboard folks directly into the Optimism ecosystem.
Much like autumn and spring, thereâs a duality at work in this process; preparation for growth maximizes its potential. The preparation began in earnest after the proposal, and the fruits of this labor can be seen below in a collection of photos from a few of the dozen locations where the citizens of Bankless Nation have been working to fulfill our mission: creating opportunities for people to discover the power of decentralized technologies.
From Nigeria to Japan, we are education in action:
Bankless Japan DAO Night
Bankless Japanâs DAO Night Vol.3: Bankless movement and Optimism governance
Meet & Vibe Events in Nigeria
Learning in Action in Kenya
Meet & Vibe Ghana Event
Village Square Meet in Ghana
These inspiring photos are a small set of what weâll be showcasing in future issues of the Rollup. Much as the DAO is fulfilling its mission to onboard the masses into web3, the Rollup continues in its mission to shed light on the activities of the DAO and its members.
The DAO Is Global Education in Action.
DAOStewards Update
DAOStewards have voted in favor of the VitaDAO OisĂn Biotechnologies â Genetic Medicines for Health and Longevity proposal. OisĂn Biotechnologies is a multi-asset longevity biotech company pioneering genetic medicines to combat sarcopenia and other age-related diseases to promote healthier, longer lives. With promising preliminary results in increasing muscle mass, reducing senescent cells, and ablating adipocytes in animal studies, OisĂn has shown potential in addressing age-related conditions.

đ Claim your GG18 Hypercerts
Hypercerts are available for donations to Gitcoin Grants projects. After each round each project is invited to mint a hypercert for the work they have done in the previous period. This hypercerts is then automatically distributed to all their funders. Funders get recognized for their contributions and projects build their funder community, which is identifiable by the ownership of hypercerts.
You can claim hypercerts if you donated to these bDAO projects in the recent GG18 round:
