BanklessDAO Weekly NFT and Cryptoart Newsletter
Dear Bankless Nation,🏴
With NFT NYC wrapped up it is now possible to draw some conclusions. There was extraordinary participation, with over 15,000 tickets sold. Plus, the international presence far exceeded this number! Both of these indicate that interest in NFTs continues to expand, between PFP projects, collectibles, art, video games and tokens with utility.
The number of side events was so high and varied that it was impossible to visit them all, not even by teleporting from one place to another. Where is a metaverse when you need one!
All the major projects in the NFT world wanted to be there, from YugaLabs to Pixel Vault, from Coolcats to 10kft. The experiences organized by some players, first of all Polygon Studios, were astounding, surpassing all expectations.
And what about the holidays? Some were epic.
All this took place during the crypto market's low point in recent months: while it can be said that the investments had already been made in the previous months, the same cannot be said of the participation by the public who decided to visit the event in masses.
The interest in NFTs does not wane and consequently Decentralized Art is embarking on a growth path to become an even more present element in the non-fungible tokens scene.
Welcome to Decentralized Arts.

NFTs Now Available on Facebook
We have known for a while that Meta, the parent company of the social network, is pushing the group into Web3 to position themselves as leaders of the space. Last week, we learned of a new development in this respect. Navdeep Singh, a product manager at Meta, has announced that the company will add NFT support on Facebook soon.
In the tweet, Navdeep shared four screenshots showing NFTs in the Facebook app.
In the beginning, only NFTs on Ethereum and Polygon will be supported. However, they will also add support for NFTs on Solana and Flow in the future.
The testing will only be available for select US-based Facebook creators who will be able to connect their wallets to their profile. Access will be free of charge. In addition to this, Facebook will not allow NFTs in any advertisement.
Otherside Metaverse Starts Testing This Week
Otherside, the metaverse created by YugaLabs, owner of Bored Apes Yacht Club, and built in partnership with the metaverse company Improbale will start testing this week.
The testing will take place in phases. The first one will be two load tests taking place on July 6th and July 9th and then there will be a First Trip tech demo taking place on July 16.
The team explained in Twitter:
“The purpose of these load tests is to push the Otherside platform to its limits with the Improbable team. This will help inform exactly where the breaking points might be before the First Trip on 7/16, in order to create the best experience possible for the tech demo.”
The First Trip will be token gated. Participants need to hold at least one Otherdeed token. Only available for laptops or desktops and to users in North America and Europe.
Arc 8
Earn Tokens with Your Mobile
By Kaf
Mobile games already outsell the rest of the video game industry combined (consoles, PCs, and arcades), with a 53% market share and uncovering over $90 billion in revenue in 2021. This difference is due to more than 6.5 billion people in the world having a smartphone, and this number is expected to increase in the coming years. That is why the project we are going to talk about today, Arc 8, has enormous potential. What if during this bear market you have fun and also want some free tokens?
Arc 8
Arc 8 is an application that allows us to play different games online and that, unlike classic mobile gaming platforms, is created on the blockchain and incorporates its token called GMEE. $GMEE is a unique utility token exclusive to the ARC8 app and can be used within games. You have two options in each game:
Play in practice mode without spending tokens
Play in duel mode against another user and using GMEE
A positive aspect of this Dapp is that you can earn GMEE tokens without having to risk the ones you already have. You can get more tokens in the following ways:
Tournaments with credits: Enter tournaments with the credits that you get for free every day and not risk any of your tokens, however, you can win a big jackpot.
Practice: Focus on your favorite game and practice with credits and when you are ready, play a duel betting your GMEE.
Daily tasks: Check the main screen for tasks that have rewards, for example, play five duels in one game.
Level: Access the Season section and go up the level. If you are among the Top 100 you can win money.
Competitions: Launched every and published on their official Telegram, Discord and Twitter channels, you can get extra GMEE in Arc8.
Invite people: Invite a player who successfully signs up, and you will receive 100 free tokens.
Stake: GMEE can be staked to receive more free GMEE.
Arc8 was created by Gamee, the gaming subsidiary of Animoca Brands, creator of super successful games like The Sandbox and Phantoms Galaxies or Revv Racing. GMEE tokens also gives you voting power within the Gamee roadmap and will have more uses in other dapps, especially those from Animoca Brands.
Another aspect that makes Arc 8 stand out is the possibility of obtaining other tokens. Starting June 16, Arc8 players will be able to participate in tournaments using GMEE as an access token and earn different tokens (MATIC, SAND or SPORTS) as rewards.
Arc 8 Premium Experience
Looking to expand its capabilities, Arc8 has partnered with multiple NFT collections to offer exclusive gaming experiences for collection owners. At the moment the only one that is available is G-Bot. Only G-bots holders will be able to access some content, the rest of the details will be given soon by the team.

Season 3
About a month ago Arc8 released Season 3. Right now there are ten games available and they are still working on updating and adding new titles. The most recent games released on Arc 8 include games in cooperation with global brands (Manchester City Football Club, ATARI, Sandbox, etc.) and Hoop Shot. On top of that, there are original games from the GAMEE team, as well as content from third-party creators. The Season’s portfolio of games will eventually be voted on by Arc8 Hubs owners.
What are Arc 8 Hubs?
Hubs are non-fungible tokens that represent virtual real estate. It is a way to own a part of Arc8. Through ownership of these NFTs, players will earn rewards while organizing and managing their hubs, tournaments, sponsors, and prize pools within the platform.
What 's next?
Once I heard a great phrase. “We tend to overvalue technology in the short term and undervalue it in the long term.” It cannot be denied that the number of users of play to earn games has decreased in recent months. With the current bear market (not only in crypto), people who thought they would get rich playing a simple game have disappeared. However, the play to earn concept is here to stay. We've all been hooked on a mobile game at some point and now, thanks to Arc 8, you'll be able to receive tokens while you level up and challenge other users.
Welcome to Web3!
