BanklessDAO: Fostering Community Collaboration | BanklessDAO Weekly Rollup
Catch Up With What Happened This Week in BanklessDAO
Dear Bankless Nation 🏴,
We're four weeks into the season, and a lot is happening already. The enthusiasm, dedication, and passion are visible in everyone who chose to stay and BUIDL. Don't stop because your positive vibes and passion might just be what someone else needs to get started.
If you just got started in the season and are feeling lost, you could start by looking at our forum page. The discussion around brand clarity is still ongoing, and we'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions. This week's roundtable discussion was also a spin-off from that discourse. It centered on the BANK tokens with HQ — to burn or return it and how this affects the value of BANK.
Crypto Sapiens recently concluded the 'Don't Say NFT podcast'. It's been an incredible 12 episodes with lots to learn from the host and guests. You should also check out and mint their first onchain podcast on Pods. In the Bankless Nation, there are no dull moments. You can join your preferred project and begin contributing and sharing your experience.
Talking about sharing and experience, BanklessDAO takes the lead both in online and offline collaboration. So in this week’s editorial Quilia captures the essence of collaboration and its importance in the web3 community.
Though the month is coming to an end, we are just getting started. Have a relaxing weekend, and get ready for the new week.

Proposals in Discussion
💰 Token Burn or Return Proposal
Ryan Sean Adams and David Hoffman are seeking to gather the DAO's consensus with this proposal on whether to burn their BANK tokens and those of BanklessHQ, or return all of them to the DAO's treasury while retaining just 35K BANK to remain active and equal members of the DAO. A poll has been created to gauge sentiment on this matter. Head over to the Forum and voice your concerns.
BanklessDAO: Fostering Community Collaboration
Author: Quilia
In the ever-evolving world of web3, it is more than simply work; it’s about collaboration. In this piece by Boluwatife, she highlighted how vital it is to construct the future in web3 communities. Let's discuss how BanklessDAO does just that, making community collaboration a reality.
BanklessDAO is a revolutionary force in the world of web3, spearheading community collaboration both online and offline. It was founded with the idea of creating a bankless future and this collective mission is pursued by a diverse community of passionate individuals.
Offline, BanklessDAO extends its impact, acknowledging the importance of real-world connections. Web3 meetups, conferences such as ETHBarcelona, ETHMilan, Permissionless, and workshops provide opportunities for members to connect in real life, building a sense of unity and shared purpose. These events serve as a testament to the DAO's commitment to decentralization, breaking down geographical barriers and allowing members to collaborate irrespective of their physical location.
Online, BanklessDAO operates as a vibrant digital ecosystem, where members from around the globe converge to participate in various sectors and projects within a server. The DAO leverages blockchain technology to ensure transparency, security, and trust in its operations. One of its core pillars is the publication of high-quality content that educates and empowers its community on topics related to the broader financial landscape. Its newsletter, for instance, serves as a beacon of information, keeping the community informed about the latest trends, inspirational journeys, opportunities, and risks in the decentralized world.
One of the key strengths of BanklessDAO lies in its ability to address disputes and conflicts with careful protocols, ensuring that the community remains a welcoming and inclusive space. This collaborative effort extends to dealing with security threats, such as the Sybil attack launched by a member last year. The collective response to such challenges demonstrates the resilience and unity of the community in safeguarding its interests.
The community spirit doesn't stop at conflict resolution; BanklessDAO members actively engage in uplifting each other publicly. Words of encouragement are shared openly, creating a supportive environment where individuals can navigate rough patches with the backing of their fellow members. The Hype and Recognition channel further amplifies this positivity, allowing members to give shout-outs, praises, and tips to fellow community contributors, establishing a culture of appreciation.
BanklessDAO's collaborative ethos is also reflected across various sectors and guilds. The marketing department's content creation efforts contribute to the organization's outreach and visibility, the funny sessions and lively music during weekly community calls add a touch of humor and vibrancy to the tired week’s atmosphere. Each sector, from the design guild to the global events team and others, plays a crucial role in shaping the collective identity of the DAO.
It doesn’t end there. Even the seemingly ordinary, such as social media tags and casual interactions in the vibes, media, and ‘adfunistration’ channels, contribute to the overall spirit of community collaboration. These gestures, no matter how small, create an atmosphere of shared joy and solidarity.
In more recent times, we have seen collaboration on a much greater scale driven by the X ruckus. With burning BANK being HQ’s initial go-to as a response to all that tension, the community has been able to suggest a more sustainable approach — sending the BANK back to bDAO’s treasury. A Forum post went live earlier this week addressing the topic so you can give that a look.
In essence, community collaboration in BanklessDAO is not confined to formalities or scheduled meetings; it is a holistic approach that includes both major milestones and everyday contacts. It's about the big and small things that members do for each other with a sense of fulfillment, creating a dynamic and flourishing ecosystem that extends beyond the digital realm and into the hearts of its community.
