Dear Bankless Nation,
Construction continues well into the bear market, and some of the most exciting advances in crypto are happening in the NFT space. Marketplaces are developing apps by which users can browse NFTs on their mobile devices. Entire sports teams are going crypto-native. And there’s a metaverse for everything; let’s call it the crypto multiverse.
As crypto becomes more popular, barriers to wider adoption become more visible. Apple is no exception, with their 30% commission on in-app purchases extending to in-app NFT sales. Kouros provides a quick run down.
The Rug is back with their report from the Jokesverse: Sam Bankman-Fried may be taking a step into the tangible goods market. If so, a popular fast food chicken franchise may have some competition.
Kaf takes us into the Foodverse with his exploration into OneRare, the latest metaverse to join the crypto multiverse. Bring your skillets and your seasonings; OneRare has come to bring us back to the pleasure of cooking.
Welcome to Decentralized Arts.

Apple App Store Rules Reportedly Impose 30% Commission On In-App NFT Trades
Last week, The Information published an article by Aidan Ryan exposing the abusive commission that Apple takes on NFT trades made through apps in the App Store.
While typical marketplaces take 2-3% commission on NFT sales, The Information reports that Apple is looking for a 30% commission from NFT transactions made through iOS apps.
Among the many companies complaining about this policy is Epic Games. The founder and CEO of Epic Games, Tim Sweeney, describes this as Apple "killing all NFT app businesses it can't tax, crushing another nascent technology that could rival its grotesquely overpriced in-app payment service."
Last year, Rarible released its app for iOS. However, this app is solely for browsing NFTs or displaying them on your phone. The App Store tax may be the reason why you cannot buy or sell NFTs within their app.

FTX to Launch Sam Bankman-Fried Chicken
Brought to you by The Rug
SBF knows no bounds when it comes to expansion, and that includes the culinary sector. FTX users will receive 10% off their first order of chicken, and Tornado Cash users are blocked from eating there.
“We were having a board meeting, and the CFO joked that chicken should be our next product. We all had a good laugh. But then everyone got really quiet. And that’s when we knew. This is real. We’re doing this.”
Collect this culinary innovation as an NFT on optimism.
OneRare
A metaverse for food lovers.
By Kaf
All aspects of our lives will be affected to a greater or lesser extent by blockchain technology. The food industry is no exception. In previous editions we’ve covered many metaverses that exist for different purposes. Now there’s one for food enthusiasts. OneRare is a metaverse that aims to revolutionize the way we cook and eat. You can create exclusive recipes while having fun!
What is OneRare?
OneRare is the world's first metaverse for food. Or, as they prefer to call it, the world’s first “Foodverse.”
OneRare is a Play-to-Earn (P2E) game created on Polygon and is focused on creating recipes within the metaverse. It can be played by anyone in the world and is an excellent multiplayer game for all ages.
How does OneRare work?
The game is divided into 4 areas to interact with different gastronomic activities. Players can explore the Foodverse and discover new ways to play, earn, collect, and battle.
Similar to real life, you will have to collect ingredients. Once you have all the ingredients you need, you can go to the market to sell them or go to the kitchen and prepare tasty dishes. The novelty here is that you’ll not only enjoy food in the game, but can also recreate these recipes in real life.
The main areas where you will spend your time are:
Farm: where Farmers grow crops to be used as ingredients
Farmer´s market: where Farmers sell their ripe produce to Collectors
Kitchen: where Collectors can read Recipes and combine ingredients to mint Dishes
PlayGround: where owners of Ingredients & Dishes can battle in Games
The OneRare Foodverse's native currency is $ORARE, with multiple uses within its gaming ecosystem. Token holders can play, invest, and participate in various ways:
Gambling on the farm for Ingredient rewards. OneRare gameplay begins at the Farm, where you must wager $ORARE to earn NFT Ingredients. The more you bet, the faster your Ingredients will grow.
Farmer's Market Transactions. All business transactions on the market will be facilitated by the ORARE token. Players can buy and sell ingredients and dishes in the market using ORARE.
Play in the Playground. Players can use ORARE tokens to participate in various games on the Playground, use them to enter contests, or improve their gameplay, such as purchasing booster cards.
Participate in Governance.

What's Next?
Food is a universal language that transcends all barriers: age, gender, and geography. We eat for different reasons: necessity, celebration, events, or for pleasure.
With the arrival of new technologies, we have seen how food has become a formality. We eat fast food. We eat junk food. We eat for convenience. OneRare wants to put an end to that and wants us to appreciate food, mixing experiences in the metaverse and real life.
OneRare unites the passion for food with the advantages of Web3 in such a way that its users will be able to interact with their favorite chefs and food businesses while having fun and building a global community.
